Setting up your Merchant Account

The first step in opening a merchant account with us is to let us know how you will be processing credit cards. A merchant account is a type of bank account that allows businesses to accept payments in a form credit cards or debit cards. In order to process credit cards, a business must open a merchant account. The cost for having a merchant account includes monthly fees, and processing fees per transaction. However, being able to accept credit cards and debit cards will increase sales for your business overall. The business will also reduce cost since it will no longer have check recovery fees.

How It Works

When you start up with a merchant account, a terminal is needed to complete transactions. With the Trinity Merchant System, you will receive a virtual terminal that you will have access from any computer that has internet access. You are able to key in the important information right into the terminal toprocess credit cards through your web browser. When the day is done, your virtual terminal will send all the approved transactions to your merchant account. Then your merchant account will capture all the funds from each credit card and automatically deposit the funds into your checking account.

How Do I Get Paid

It is easy to get paid for accepting credit cards through your Virtual Terminal, Cell Phone, or Website. When the card is processed through one of these gateways, it is then sent to your merchant account. The merchant account collects the money through the approved credit and debit card transactions. It will then place the fund directly into your business checking account. This process usually takes about two business days.

How You Are Billed

You will get a monthly billing statement to your address that details your billing. Your merchant accountwill calculate your processing fees (fees of the transactions), and your monthly fees (the flat rates that were disclosed to you) at the end of the month. This total processing charge for the month will then be deducted from your business checking account at the beginning of the following month.
